Whether you’re looking for apples or strawberries, fishers will have what you need! The best part about fisher’s orchard is that it’s open year-round so even when all the other farms are closed fishers can still be there to provide fresh fruit.
Peaches in Fishers Orchard
Fishers Orchard is most famous for its peaches, which they produce on a large scale. The Fishers Orchard peach harvest starts in early July and lasts until the end of October. They are the perfect southern summer snack, sweet and juicy with a firm skin that you can easily peel off. Peaches in Fishers Orchard come at different times of the year, but they’re always fresh from South Carolina soil. You’ll find them at convenience stores on your way to church or picked up by fishers’ wives as part of an afternoon outing while their husbands work hard tending apple trees and other crops out in the fields all day long.
Fall Festival at Fishers Orchard
You’ll know when Fishers Orchard Fall Festival is coming because the whole town smells like a giant sweet potato pie. The people of Fishers Orchard come out to celebrate with arts and crafts, food vendors from all over the south, live music, carnival games for kids and adults alike, and don’t forget about those peaches! However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, there was not a fall festival at Fishers Orchard. But they hope to see visitors this year and visit their retail locations at South Buncombe Road and on Locust Hill Road.

They could visit the fisher’s orchard peach stand and take a tour around, enjoy pumpkin painting on Halloween night, have an outdoor scavenger hunt with their friends, ride bikes through trails while enjoying beautiful scenery along the way, hayrides, petting zoo, slides, and more and more!

Both can be used to make jams or jellies this time of year because they have so much juice from growing on trees through hot weather months (July – October). We also grow blackberries, figs, and persimmons here at Fisher’s Orchard.

The orchards are not only known for their sweet, juicy summer fruit but they also offer cider vinegar made from fresh-pressed apples and blackberries! Visitors to the Fishers Orchard can purchase gallons of apple cider vinegar as well as jars filled with different flavored varieties including white grape, pear ginger-lime, raspberry balsamic rosemary, and fig vanilla bean. These bottles of vinegar make excellent gifts for people who enjoy cooking at home because Fishers Orchard’s flavors will mix nicely in any dish you’re making!
