About Greer City Park

Greer City Park is located right in the heart of Historic Downtown Greer. Built in 2008, this 12-acre park is open year-round to the public and has become a favorite destination for residents and visitors. Visitors can enjoy playing ball in any of the park’s wide-open spaces, taking a stroll or bike ride along with one of the beautifully landscaped walkways, having a picnic under a pavilion, or bouncing around on the new rubber turf slab surrounding the large playground. The park has a great mix of interesting characteristics including a gazebo, an adorable little pond, a large fountain, bench swings, an amphitheater, beautiful rock features, and lovely brick facades.

Things to Do in Greer City Park

Greer City Park is a great place to go for a picnic with family and friends. There are many tables that can be rented by the hour, as well as grills available on site. 

A variety of games are offered in the game room, including ping pong, pool table, skee ball machine, and air hockey. The adults have plenty to do too! Check out one of the two bocce courts or take part in some bowling at our outdoor alley (weather permitting). 

Greer City Park is a greener space in an urban area that has just about anything you could ask for: playgrounds, sports fields, walking paths…even greenery! The park features bikeways along with interpretive signage to educate visitors. There’s also a small pond where it may be possible to spot some waterfowl!

You don’t need any experience in order to enjoy these outdoor activities; all ages and skill levels are welcome!

Prohibited in Greer City Park

 Alcoholic beverages are not allowed unless a permit is acquired by the City of Greer.

  • Wading in the fountains and ponds is prohibited.
  • Bicycles, skateboards, skates, scooters, hover boards, and motorized vehicles are not allowed.
  • Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Pets are not allowed at City of Greer Special Events.
  • Please do not disturb or walk through flower beds.
  • Climbing on rocks is not allowed.
  • Littering or dumping of any kind

Greer City Park Events Center Rentals

Geer City Park offers rental space for your next event. From birthday parties to weddings, we have the perfect spot for you! 

Event halls with lobby areas attached (seats up to 300 guests), an open field/picnic area that can hold up to 125 people, an amphitheater with a seating capacity of up to 800 people. A gazebo that is perfect for a wedding ceremony or fun shoots. Rental fees vary depending on the size of the party.
